Skincare FAQs

A facial is a skincare treatment that includes cleansing, exfoliating, extracting impurities, and nourishing the skin. Facials help improve skin tone, texture, and overall skin health, leaving it refreshed and radiant. Your facial will be customized to target skin issues like aging, acne, sensitivity, etc.

Every 4-6 weeks is recommended, aligning with the skin’s natural renewal cycle. Skin type, goals, and lifestyle factors can influence the best frequency. Your aesthetician can create a personalized plan.

Facials include a consultation, cleansing, exfoliation, steaming, extractions, massage, mask, and moisturizer. Some facials incorporate treatments like serums, peels, or other treatments based on skin type and concerns.

Most facial treatments are relaxing, though some discomfort may occur during extractions or with certain chemical peels. A trained aesthetician will ensure minimal discomfort and make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Yes, facials can help clear clogged pores, reduce inflammation, and balance oil production, improving acne. There are also facials specifically designed for acne-prone skin.

Yes, facials can be customized for sensitive skin. A skilled aesthetician will choose gentle products and techniques to avoid irritation, such as soothing masks and mild exfoliants.

Avoid strong at-home treatments, waxing, or tanning before your appointment. Arrive with a clean face if possible, and share any skin concerns or recent changes with your aesthetician.

Many clients notice immediate benefits like hydration and a glow. However, some treatments target deeper layers of the skin, so full results may take a few days to appear.

Waxing FAQs

Waxing is a hair removal method that involves applying warm wax to the skin and removing it, pulling the hair out from the root, leaving the skin smooth for several weeks.

Waxing results typically last 3-6 weeks, depending on hair growth rate, area waxed, and individual factors. Regular waxing can lead to finer, sparser hair growth over time.

Allow your hair to grow to at least a quarter inch (about 2-3 weeks of growth). Avoid lotions, oils, or exfoliating products on the day of your appointment, and wear loose clothing for comfort.

There can be some discomfort, especially for first-time waxers or sensitive areas like the bikini line. The pain tends to lessen with regular waxing, and many techniques are used to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

While waxing removes hair from the root, it can sometimes lead to ingrown hairs, especially if the hair is coarse or curly. Regular exfoliation and moisturizing can help prevent ingrowns.

Yes, though it’s essential to let your aesthetician know if you have sensitive skin. They can use a gentler wax formula and adjust the technique to minimize irritation.

For best results, it’s recommended to wax every 4-6 weeks, allowing enough hair regrowth for effective removal without waiting too long between sessions.

Waxing can be performed on almost any area of the body, including the eyebrows, upper lip, arms, legs, bikini area, back, and chest. Some areas may be more sensitive, so be sure to consult with your aesthetician.

Avoid sun exposure, saunas, hot tubs, and intense exercise for 24-48 hours, as the skin will be more sensitive. Wear loose clothing and avoid perfumed products to reduce irritation.

Yes, you can still wax, but the skin may be more sensitive due to hormonal changes. Some clients prefer to schedule around their cycle for comfort, but it’s ultimately a personal choice.

Micropigmentation FAQs

Permanent eyebrow makeup, often called microblading, nanobrows, microshading, or powder brows, is a cosmetic tattooing technique used to enhance or reshape eyebrows. The technique involves implanting pigment into the skin using fine needles or a blade, creating a semi-permanent look.

Permanent eyebrow makeup typically lasts 1 to 3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Oily skin may cause pigment to fade faster, while proper aftercare can extend the longevity.

Microblading: Uses a blade to create hair-like strokes, giving a natural, defined look.
Nanobrows: Uses a machine to create hair-like strokes.
Microshading: Involves tiny dots or shading to achieve a fuller, softer look.
Powder Brows (or ombré brows): Creates a powdered, filled-in appearance, similar to using brow makeup.

Most technicians use a numbing cream to minimize discomfort. While pain tolerance varies, many clients describe it as similar to eyebrow threading or plucking.

Avoid getting the area wet, excessive sweating, and direct sun exposure for the first week. Apply the recommended aftercare products to ensure proper healing. Your technician will provide specific instructions.

Initial healing takes around 7-14 days, during which the brows may scab and appear darker. Complete healing, including color stabilization, can take up to 4-6 weeks.

Yes, with a skilled technician, the result should look natural. Techniques like microblading create realistic hair strokes, while microshading and powder brows offer soft, natural-looking shading.

Your technician will analyze your facial structure and skin tone to recommend a shape and color that complements your natural features. It’s essential to communicate your preferences and desired look.

Risks include potential allergic reactions, infections, or dissatisfaction with the result if not done by a qualified technician. Ensure you go to a licensed professional who follows strict hygiene standards.

Yes, once the area is fully healed. Most clients find they don’t need additional makeup. You can enhance your brows further with makeup if you desire a more dramatic look for special occasions.

Henna FAQs

Brow henna is a natural dye made from the henna plant, used to tint both the skin and brow hairs. It gives a fuller, more defined look to the eyebrows, and typically lasts longer than traditional brow tints. Henna can also promote the growth of new hair.

On the skin, brow henna generally lasts up to two weeks, depending on skin type and aftercare. On the brow hairs, it can last up to six weeks.

Brow henna is generally safe for most people, as it’s derived from natural ingredients. However, people with sensitive skin or allergies should do a patch test first, as reactions are still possible.

Unlike traditional brow tints, which only dye the brow hairs, brow henna also stains the skin beneath the brows, creating a more filled-in look. It’s also considered a more natural alternative because it’s plant-based.

Yes! Brow henna comes in various shades to suit different skin tones and hair colors. A professional can customize the shade to complement your natural coloring.

To extend the longevity, avoid getting your brows wet for the first 24 hours, and skip oil-based products near the brows, as these can fade the henna faster.

Yes, brow henna is ideal for sparse or thin brows as it stains the skin beneath, creating the appearance of fuller brows.

A brow henna treatment usually takes around 30 minutes, including prep, application, and setting time.

Yes, but most people find that henna gives them enough definition without additional makeup. However, if you prefer a more dramatic look, makeup can be applied as usual.

Brow henna can be lightened by gently exfoliating the skin or using oil-based products, which will help fade the stain faster.
